Membership Requirements

You must be at least
21 years of age.

You must be single
i.e. not in a committed relationship. Our events aren't intended for "couples" to attend. This requirement is on the “honor system”.

Members must have frequent access to email and this SVGD website, plus reliable and independent transportation in order to get to our events.

Joining is simple!
Follow the above "Sign Up" link, read the Membership Agreement and the Code of Conduct, and submit the online Membership Application.

The membership sign-up process also requires payment of a one-time, $10 fee, via Paypal. Sorry, but we cannot accept any other forms of payment at this time.

About Our Volunteers

• This is an internet-based group. You must have an E-mail address and internet access. Other modes of communication will not be possible.
• Read your E-mail frequently and check the website for upcoming events and announcements.
• Participate in as many events as you can. We can’t help organizations if people don’t sign-up, and you will only benefit from SVGD if you participate!
• Sign-up using the form on the web site for events in which you wish to participate. Signing up early helps us to better plan the event, and assures that you will not be shut out!
• If you volunteer for an event, after you received confirmation that you are signed-up, show up on time and with the necessary stuff.
• Commit to stay for the entire volunteer event, unless something unavoidable occurs.
• Your are encouraged to stay for the social event after volunteering. Also attend the planned social events.
• Volunteer to serve as an Event Leader. We need great people to run these events for them to be successful. Contact the SVGD Director.
• Volunteer to serve on the Volunteer Events or Social Events committees.
• Help to increase membership by encouraging your friends to join, particularly men!
• Have fun and make a difference!
