SVGD Volunteers:
We are getting back to our "normal" schedule now that we've made it through our busy fundraising months of June & July.

Presently there are two events on our SVGD web site for which you can register.
We still need 4 volunteers to be MUDD Messengers next Saturday for the MUDD Volleyball event benefiting the March of Dimes.  As I've said before, this will be their "Filthy Finale"- the last year that they are able to do this event.  If you haven't helped before you should really sign up as it's a fun, unusual experience and, no, we're not the ones who get muddy (OK, maybe a little on our shoes!)

Also, we still have 3 openings at the Live at the Vineyards event benefiting KUVO.  This is another very enjoyable volunteer experience with wine, good food, and good music!

EVENTS ON WEB SITE:

MUDD Messengers for MUDD Volleyball benefiting the March of Dimes, Sat. Aug. 4th, 8:30AM-1PM. (We still need 4 Volunteers for this event.) 6 Volunteers are needed. We will be working as MUDD Messengers who provide drinks to those who have contributed funds and have VIP tent locations.  We are not in the MUDD but will get to see lots of muddy people!!  This is their 35th & final year for the event.  They are calling it "The Filthy Finale."  There is a volleyball tournament that features hundreds of coed teams battling it out in huge pits of mud.  It is a lot of fun and for a good cause.  The money raised through MUDD Volleyball enables the March of Dimes to expand their programs and to educate medical professionals to make sure that moms and babies get the best possible care.  It's a dirty way to have some good clean fun while fighting for the health of all moms and babies.

Live at the Vineyards benefiting KUVO Public Radio Station, Sat, Aug. 11th, 3:00PM-9:00PM. (We still need 3 Volunteers for this event.) 6 volunteers are needed to help with the Corporate Tables. We help with the table decorations then the Corporate guests arrive at 5:30PM.  We will attend to the guests by getting them wine, water & coffee, plus clear the dishes.  It is a relaxed atmosphere where you will get to interact and have fun with the corporate guests while also listening to music.  You will get to have a great gourmet meal & wine tasting also.  The event is located North Denver at the Balistreri Vineyards.  There is also an auction and dancing.  This year's featured artist is The Spanish Harlem Orchestra, two-time Grammy-winning Salsa and Latin Jazz band, sets the standard for excellence for authentic, New York style, hardcore salsa.  We have assisted them for years and always enjoy the experience.  Good music and fun people!

SVGD Volunteers:
We had a great time at the Blues & BBQ for Habitat for Humanity on Saturday!  Thanks to all of you who helped!
We have two upcoming events that need me to turn in the registration names as soon as possible.  FIRST, THIS SATURDAY WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR THE COLORADO DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL!  Please sign up soon if you can help.  I don't want to let them down.

I just put the MUDD Volleyball event for the March of Dimes on the web site for the following Saturday.  They need me to turn in the Tshirt sizes needed right away so please sign up quickly on this one also.  We've done this before & really enjoyed the experience, without having to get muddy ourselves.  This is the last time they will be doing this event.
I'm currently looking for an Event Captain for the Live at the Vineyards event on Saturday, August 11th.  I'll let you know as soon as I get it on the web site but thought you might like to pencil the date in on your calendar as this is a volunteer favorite.

Details for the first two events are given below.

SVGD Volunteers:

We've got two great events coming up in the next week.  The BBQ & Blues event for Habitat for Humanity needed a couple more volunteers so we added to our volunteer number and we still have one opening for Saturday!  This will be fun & worthwhile!  Sign up soon if you want to help.  I'd like to let them know who additionally is coming in the next day or two for their "free entrance to the festival" list.

Also, I just put the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival on the web site.  We haven't helped them for years so this should be a fun time.  It's coming up a week from Saturday so sign up soon if you'd like to help.   I've been in Minnesota the past week (my mother turned 85, whoo hoo!) so am busy getting our new events on the web site.  I should have more great opportunities for you soon also.

Details for both of these events are given below.
